School's going great, except for physics. It wouldn't be so bad if the book wasn't so murky (i.e. showing the answer without showing how to derive the equations to get it). I've seen other physics books that are actually crystal clear about these things, but the book required for my course is just plain awful.
I did a bit of work on my old currency project from so, so long ago: [link] You remember, right? No? Neither did I. But anyways, I'm thinking of scanning those and either uploading the rough sketches or digitizing them in Photoshop and then uploading them. Once I'm done with them, anyways.
My sole respite lately (besides the doodling) has been going to the Anime Club at the main college in my town (read: not mine). Unfortunately, I couldn't make it to the recent marathon of Ghost Hunt over the weekend, but we're watching two series that I really like (Code Geass and Last Exile), one show that I sorta like (Kino's Journey), and one show that makes me want to gouge out my eyes with a melon baller (Wallflower).
Oh, you didn't know? I'm a total otaku now. Actually no, and I know several people that would stab me for saying that. But I do like the anime. So far I've watched Death Note, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Fullmetal Alchemist, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, and The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. I've also started a bunch of others that I won't mention so as not to bore the non-anime fans.
I've also been doing some reading. Right now I'm about halfway through Green Mars by Kim Stanley Robinson, the second book in a trilogy (Red, Green, and Blue Mars). Red Mars was an incredible book, and I'd recommend it to anyone even remotely interested in science fiction. I shall post a more detailed review when I finish the entire trilogy.
Aaaand... That's about it. Sorry for not updating in... oh wow, 8 months. Geez. Maybe I should commit myself to regular updates. I'll think about it.
Thanks for reading!
